You'll get the most out of your membership if you invest time into helping CAI-CNC committees stay active and innovative.  Our committees implement the strategic plan for the Chapter.  From programs to publications to legislative activity, committee members provide the strength that enables the Chapter to meet the needs of its member communities in the our area.

Legislative Council

Legislative Committees: Made up of two Delegates and one Liaison, this committee is responsible for identifying legislative issues of importance to common interest communities in the specific jurisdiction of the committee.  This includes local, regional, statewide and federal legislation.  Monitors legislation and helps the Chapter set specific issue priorities.


Member Services Council

Annual Dinner Committee: Responsible for the overall management and planning of the Annual Awards Dinner, including selection of the location, entertainment, recruiting sponsors and promotion of the event.

Golf Committee: Responsible for the overall management, selection of location, recruiting sponsors and planning of the Annual Golf Outing - the Chapter's primary fund raising event.

Membership Committee:  This group of Chapter members oversees the membership recruitment efforts of the Chapter and is available to answer questions about the value of membership in CAI.

Education Committee

Conference & Expo: Responsible for the overall development and management of the Conference & Expo including recruiting exhibitors and sponsors and promotion of the event. The Conference & Expo Committee works in conjunction with the Education Committee to develop Conference seminars.

Education Programs:  Charged with the development, promotion and presentation of educational programs, including ABCs for Association Leaders, Advanced ABCs, Legislative Update & Professional Forum for the Chapter membership, paying particular attention to the needs of each of the interest groups.  In addition, the Education Committee coordinates Conference seminars with the Conference & Expo Sub-Committee.

PMDP Scholarship Program:  Responsible for coordinating the application and award process with respect to annual scholarship awards for Chapter Individual Manager members seeking to advance their careers by attending PMDP courses in preparation for their AMS or PCAM designations.

Adopt-a-Library Program:  Oversees the administration of the Adopt-a-Library program designed by the Research Foundation.  This program places a large selection of CAI's publications in local libraries to allow community leaders a local outlet for expertise on a wide variety of issues.
